Monchengladbach Secure Xhaka Agreement

young Swiss international Granit Xhaka is Bundesliga bound
Several Swiss and German websites have claimed that the young Swiss midfield sensation Granit Xhaka has agreed to play his club football for Borussia Monchengladbach next season. Although no official statement has been released from either club, it is rumored that they are currently negotiating a price tag for the center midfielder.

Xhaka caught the attention of several top clubs during Basel's impressive UEFA Champions League campaign. The 19-year-old had stand-out performances against Manchester United, Benfica and Bayern Munich in the competition and has cemented himself a spot in the Basel starting 11 since the 2010/2011 season. Hamburg made an attempt to purchase Xhaka in the January transfer window, but the appeal of a higher ranked Bundesliga club eventually lured the young player away from his childhood club.
No official price has been released. Xhaka's current market value is around 5m euros and a 5-7m euro bid was made for him in January but surely with his new experience in the Champions League and some international experience under his belt from friendlies, Basel could easily get a good amount for the exciting young player.
